This site has been designed to encourage students and staff of the Big Experience trips of 2007 to investigate their chosen destinations and consider the following areas of concern:
Community Quest
To effectively integrate into the community, you will need to research the culture and daily routines of locals from the villages you will visit on your mission.

2. Custom and Religion
3. Housing, Clothing and Cuisine
4. Human Rights
5. Social Welfare Programs
Urban Quest
You will visit both cities and villages on your mission and will need maps of each area.
1. Maps and Transportation
2. Currency
3. Local Industry and Markets
4. Business and Residential Districts
5. Urban Issues, Crime and Substance Abuse
Environment
Your mission requires you to infiltrate the local groups involved in local environmental issues and identify their preliminary aims.
1. Landcare and Use
2. Waste Management and Pollution
3. Water Management and Pollution
4. Global Issues – Green House Gas, Global Warming, etc
5. Animal Conservation
Here are some reading lists to broaden your knowledge of each of the missions:
Agents needing more detail about the trip they have chosen, such as which airline you are travelling with and where you are going to stay or eat, will need to talk to their tour leader. This site is about discovering the different countries, the facts and the fiction, the culture and the controversy.
